Bio

Dr. Bettina Boohene-Andah has practiced medicine since 1999 and is a qualified Clinical Nutritionist. She has worked extensively in both private and public hospitals nationwide. In 2004 she was appointed Physician to H.E John A. Kufuor, former President of Ghana where she was the head of the Presidential Medical Team. She was the Medical Director of Brainwave Consult Ltd and Kalbert Clinic all in Accra Ghana. She is currently the Lead Health Consultant for Kamili Health, a Health Consulting firm.

Bettina is the founder of The MENFYD FOUNDATION which focuses on youth mentoring, empowerment and Gender Issues. She is a guest lecturer for the Postgraduate Family Health Course with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has spoken on various international platforms such as The BBC 100 Women’s Series, YAWC Conference, Thought Leadership Breakfast Meeting, ICAG (Ghana) just to name a few.

Dr. Boohene-Andah authored a book titled “The President’s Physician” which she launched in 2014 and has sold over 5000 copies worldwide. The book catalogues the life story of Bettina from birth, through her adult life after which she vividly narrates her journey through the life of The President’s Physician.

She is married with two young adult daughters.
